Armed Forces field hospital in Tawau receives 12 patients on first day of operations


PUTRAJAYA (Bernama): The Malaysian Armed Forces field hospital in Tawau for non-Covid-19 cases received 12 patients on Tuesday (Oct 20), its first day of operations.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the field hospital would receive more non-Covid-19 patients for medical treatment, including paediatric care and gynaecologic care.

"Surgery can also be carried out at the field hospital in Tawau which is located just five minutes from Tawau Hospital, ” he said at a press conference at the Health Ministry here on Tuesday.

"Tawau Hospital will be used for Covid-19 patients. This is a collaboration between Health Ministry and MAF, ” said Dr Noor Hisham. - Bernama
