PJ OCPD to self-quarantine until close contact gets results on Covid-19 screening

PETALING JAYA: Hours after holding a press conference on the enhanced movement control order (MCO) at a workers' hostel, the Petaling Jaya OCPD made a decision to self-quarantine.

Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said he learnt that he had been in contact with an individual who was a close contact to a Covid-19 positive case.

"I was informed around 2pm by a district health official that someone who I had been in contact with over the planning for the enhanced MCO here was a close contact to a positive case," he said when contacted on Monday (Oct 12).

He said he would self-quarantine until the close contact gets the results of the Covid-19 screening.

"Once he tests negative I will suit up and get back into the field," he said.

Several reporters who covered the press conference - including this reporter - also took the decision to self-quarantine following the news on ACP Nik Ezanee's decision.
