‘Safeguard our racial harmony’

MELAKA: The chief minister continues to stress on the importance of racial unity during the launch of the state-level National Month celebration.

Datuk Sulaiman Md Ali said Melaka had always been a melting pot of various cultures and locals must relentlessly safeguard it.

“We must think like Malaysians and continue to uphold the nuance of Merdeka and racial harmony,” he said after launching the National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang campaign at Seri Negeri here yesterday.

He said Melaka had preserved its racial unity and set a benchmark for other states.

“We are considered as one the best states in terms of preserving our multiethnic society,” he said.
