KUALA LUMPUR: The police seized 1.3g of heroin and detained four men aged between 25 and 40 for suspected drug abuse in a raid on a house in Sungai Penchala on Sunday (July 12).
Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Zairulnizam Mohd Zainuddin@Hilmi said police seized 1.3g heroin from the premises.
"The house belonged to the family of two of the suspects. All of them tested positive for morphine," he said when contacted on Monday (July 13).
The suspects also have prior records for drug-related offences, he added.
"We are investigating the case under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952," said ACP Zairulnizam.
ACP Zairulnizam advised the public not to be involved in any activity involving drugs.
"The arrests were possible due to information supplied to the police. Such cooperation is vital in the war on drugs," he added.
