ROS: Azmin has not made application to form new party

PETALING JAYA: The Registrar of Societies (ROS) has confirmed Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali (pic) did not make any application to form a new party.

"Several news reports on July 8 have stated that an application to form a new party has been made by Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali. He himself has denied it by saying that 'I do not know of any new party' and 'no application was made'.

"Meanwhile the ROS has conducted record checks and stresses that no application to form a new party by Azmin has been received,"it said in a statement Saturday (July 10).

It added that any claims of an application to establish a new party by the Senior Minister and Minister of International Trade and Industry were false.

Previously it was reported that a list of names for the top leadership of the new party – called Parti Keadilan Negara, had been making its rounds on social media.

Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdulah, whose name was mentioned as a leader of the new party, has also denied his involvement.
