Phone scammers threatening to 'expose' potential victims' names in Malay newspapers

JOHOR BARU: Phone scammers are now more brazen in their illegal activities by making threats to potential victims, claiming their names will be published in Malay language newspapers, say Johor police.

Johor police chief Comm Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said that the phone scam syndicates would send the threats through text messages.
