Ismail Sabri: Govt yet to decide whether to lift or extend conditional MCO

PUTRAJAYA: The government has yet to decide whether to lift or extend the conditional movement control order which ends on June 9.

Senior Minister (security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said for now, there is no discussion on the matter yet.

"Once there is a decision, we will make an announcement.

"Either the conditional MCO is lifted or extended, we will inform the public," he said on Wednesday (June 3).

The conditional MCO was enforced on May 4, as the government allows for more economic and social activities to resume.

The government had put in place the MCO since March 18.

This is an effort to break the chain of Covid-19 infection, which has affected other countries around the globe.
