PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has labelled as “fake news” a screenshot that has gone viral, claiming that the conditional movement control order (MCO) would be extended from June 10-24.

The Senior Minister (Security) said the public should refer to the National Security Council (NSC) website on the matter.

“That news yesterday is fake. We will decide if there is an extension later. This includes the SOP on inter-state travel, ” he said during his daily press briefing on the Covid-19 situation in the country on Friday (May 29) after he was asked if the government would allow inter-state travel once the latest phase of the conditional movement control order ended on June 9.

The screenshot also claimed that schools, universities, kindergartens and barbers would not be allowed to open.
