PETALING JAYA: The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will open its counters for public, commercial goods and tourists transport vehicles to renew their licenses.
It said the services would begin on April 29 onwards and the counters would be open from 8am to 1pm.
"The JPJ counter will only deal with matters such as renewing the driving licenses for commercial vehicles, the renewal of driving license and vocational licenses and settling summon payments, as well as blacklisting issues.
"Instructions to open up other services by JPJ will only be issued based on the updates of the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the government's decision on the movement control order (MCO)," said JPJ in a statement on Thursday (April 23).
The public is also urged to follow the MCO regulations and said those coming to the JPJ counters should abide by the guidelines.
It added that JPJ was always committed to providing its service to the people, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.
