KUALA LUMPUR: Road Transport Department (JPJ) services have continued without disruption following the suspension of MyEG Services Bhd and Zetrix AI Bhd as collection agents earlier this month, says Anthony Loke.
The Transport Minister said motorists could still renew their road tax and driving licences, as well as access other JPJ services, including summons payments, through the MyJPJ application.
"We have not faced any problems over the past two weeks.
“The public can still renew their road tax and driving licences as usual," he told reporters after launching the Masjid Jamek LRT Station Beautification Project here on Thursday (Oct 22).
Loke said many motorists had already switched to the MyJPJ application, ensuring that services remained accessible despite the suspension.
"There are other options available. There has been no disruption, so users have not faced any problems," he said.
However, he indicated that the outstanding payments from the companies had yet to be settled.
The Transport Ministry suspended MyEG and Zetrix AI's JPJ collection services earlier this month over RM314mil in government revenue that had not been remitted to the authorities.
Loke had previously said the companies must settle their outstanding payments before the government would consider allowing them to resume their collection services.
