HULU LANGAT: Police will assist Health Ministry officials in conducting surveys at three more villages within the enhanced movement control order (MCO) area in Kampung Sungai Lui here.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said the survey will take up to three days to complete and is expected to end on Friday (April 3).

"The three villages are located within the five kilometer radius of the enhanced MCO.

"The survey is being conducted to see if anyone in these villages is showing symptoms of Covid-19," he told reporters at a roadblock in Kampung Sungai Lui on Wednesday (April 1).

He said anyone who showed symptoms during screenings to be conducted during the survey, would be sent to the Klinik Desa Sungai Lui Batu 21 for a second screening.

On operations at the enhanced MCO area, ACP Ahmad Dzaffir said eight officers and 53 personnel were on duty within the area.

"Based on our observations, there has been no untoward incident in the last three days since this place was designated as an enhanced MCO area.

"The people are staying in their homes and have not come out. They are complying with the enhanced MCO," he said.

He said the Welfare Department would take care of the needs of the residents affected here.

"They handed out basic neccessities to people here starting on Monday (March 30)," he said, adding that both the Civil Defence and Rela were also on hand to assist the Welfare Department.
