Register with LHDN for cash incentive, says Finance Ministry


PETALING JAYA: Those who are eligible for financial assistance under the new economic stimulus package must register with the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN), says the Finance Ministry.

Those who have registered for Bantuan Sara Hidup (BSH) and with LHDN before this need not register again.

The ministry also said that the allocated financial aid of RM10bil under Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN) will be made in two phases – by the end of this month and May.

“For those who have yet to register, new applications can be made from April 1 through the official LHDN website – www.hasil.gov.my.

“The public can also contact the Finance Ministry or LHDN on their hotlines or other channels, ” it said in a statement.

The ministry can be contacted at 03-8882 9089,03-8882 9087,03-8882 9191,03-8882 4565,03-8882 4566 between 9am and 5pm (Sunday to Friday).

The public can also make enquiries through bsh@treasury.gov, mypre2020@treasury.gov, myTelegram: PRE PRIHATIN, or Facebook Kementerian Kewangan Malaysia 24 Jam.

LHDN can be contacted via 1-800 882 747 or 03-8911 1000 between 9am and 5pm (Sunday to Friday) from today.

“We would like to remind the public not to fall victim to scammers over the Prihatin packages.

“Refer all enquiries to official sources and do not give out your personal details to a third party, ” the ministry said.

On Friday, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced the stimulus package worth RM250bil to revive the sluggish economy due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
