KUALA SELANGOR: One man has been arrested on Friday (March 20) by the police for going against the movement control order (MCO).

"A police team from Bestari Jaya on patrol there spotted a man in a public area. He was seen outside his car, on his phone and smoking.

"The police advised him on the order and instructed him to leave, but he ignored them, while also provoking them.

"A police check was then conducted where he refused to produce his identification card and had pushed the policemen on duty," said Kuala Selangor police in a statement on their Facebook page.

The statement added that the man was apprehended for obstructing a public servant from discharging his duties and has been brought to the district headquarters for further action.
