Health Ministry: Malaysia prepared to face Covid-19 pandemic

SUNGAI BULOH: Malaysia's readiness to face Covid-19 remains unchanged even with the World Health Organisation announcing that the disease has reached pandemic level.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba (pic) said since March 6, Hospital Sungai Buloh has been designated for treating Covid-19 patients.

"I have also been informed that we have enough beds, wards, medical and security personnel at Hospital Sungai Buloh to handle 772 patients at any one time," he said during a press conference after he visited the hospital on Thursday (March 12).
