Govt criticised for failing to revive economy

KUALA LUMPUR: Wanita MCA has criticised the government for its failure to improve the nation’s economy.

This is among the resolutions passed at its annual general meeting yesterday.

The resolution also criticised the government for the slow market, the decline in the composite index, weakening currency, high foreign divestment, high national debt, increased living costs and high poverty rates.

It wanted the government to rectify the economy, attract investments and come up with better tax policies to benefit Malaysians.

Another resolution was to expose the government for failing to deliver their promises after winning the general election last year.

The assembly also denounced the government for renewing Lynas’ licence instead of shutting it down and allowing its waste materials to remain in the country.

Another resolution was to condemn the government for cutting the matching grants for Tunku Abdul Rahman University College. The money was meant for the institution to help keep its fees low for students.
