Contamination caused Selangor water treatment plant closures, state assembly told

SHAH ALAM (Bernama): Contamination was the reason why water treatment plants in the state had to be shut down 744 times from 2008 until June this year, the Selangor state legislative assembly was told.

The state's Environment, Green Technology, Science, Technology and Innovation, and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman Hee Loy Sian said the water treatment plants included Sungai Selangor, Sungai Langat, Sungai Semenyih and Sungai Gombak.
