Malaysia alerts Indonesia on alarming impact of forest fires


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia has sent an official letter to the Indonesian government raising its concerns over the fires in Kalimantan that are causing unhealthy air pollution readings here.It is understood that the letter from Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change Minister Yeo Bee Yin (pic) was addressed to her counterpart, Indonesian Environment Forestry Minister Siti Nurbaya Bakar.

Malaysian officials confirmed that the letter was sent through Wisma Putra yesterday.
