Wildfires destroy wide swaths of Johor forests

JOHOR BARU: The wildfires caused by open burning has destroyed about 48ha of forest area in Johor.

There were three hotspots including in Muar (20ha), Pontian (12ha) and Gelang Patah (16ha), said state Fire and Rescue Department director Datuk Yahaya Madis.
