Mujahid hopes to have law on hate speech this year


PETALING JAYA: Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa (pic) hopes that by this year, a hate speech element will be included in the Sedition Act and the Commission of National Harmony and Reconciliation would be set up.

It was time for Malaysia, said Mujahid who is in charge of religious affairs at the ministry, to enact laws dealing directly with hate speech.
