PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Azmin Ali's family has rallied behind him amidst allegations surrounding a viral sex video picturing two individuals.
In a tweet, Azmin's wife Datin Seri Shamsidar Taharin called for her husband to be patient and have faith in Allah.
She quoted a verse from the Al-Quran which said that slander is worse than killing.
"A believer places his faith in Allah. In desparation for materialistic gain, men forget and ironically earn God's wrath.
"Have fear of God, have faith in him and remain patient to receive his guidance, protection and reward @AzminAli," said Shamsidar, wife to Azmin of 30 years.
Azmin's son Ameer also tweeted a photograph with the caption: "Always next to you because together we're stronger."
His daughter, Farah Amira, via her Twitter handle @miraazmin hit out at her father's detractors.
"This kind of gutter politics isn't just messing with a person but the entire family. It's disgusting.
"How do you sleep at night knowing you could've (but too bad you failed) broken up a family. This is low even for you," she said.
Azmin's other daughter Farah Shazliyana also took to Twitter to voice support for her father.
"We've been through this before, and we'll go through this again. Better together, stronger than ever," she wrote.
