Slow-moving traffic on several national highways

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Traffic snarls are reported on several major highways as at 9pm Wednesday (June 5).

A PLUS Malaysia Berhad spokesman said traffic was slow from Bukit Tagar to Bukit Beruntung, Slim River to Sungkai, and Tapah to Gopeng.

"On the south-bound side, traffic is slow from Machap to Ayer Hitam," he said.

A Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) spokesman said traffic was moving slowly before the entrance to the Gombak Toll Plaza and at the Genting Sempah Tunnel heading towards the east coast.

"Traffic flow on the East Coast Highway (LPT) 1 and LPT 2 in both directions is smooth," he said.
