PETALING JAYA: The Selangor chapter of the National Security Council will meet on Tuesday (Nov 27) over the fracas near the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in USJ25, Subang Jaya here.
Selangor Mentri Besar Amirudin Shari said that he would convene the meeting to restore order at the temple which has seen chaos for two nights in a row.
"We have to install safety and order. That is my first priority. That is why I called for the NSC (meeting)," he told the media at a private hospital here.
The NSC has chapters in all states.
Amirudin said that the meeting would also lay out all the facts of the situation, so as to decide on the immediate action needed to halt the ongoing unrest.
Earlier, Amirudin visited Fire and Rescue Department personnel Muhammad Adib Muhammad Kasim, 24, who is currently at the hospital's intensive care unit after being attacked at the temple by rioters.
