A NEWLY married man in Tamil Nadu, India committed suicide after his wife left him because his house did not have an indoor toilet, reported Tamil Nesan.
Selladurai, 26, married a woman who works with him with the blessing of both the families.
However, after moving into her husband’s home, she could not accept that there was no indoor toilet in the house.
She began crying and after three days, left the house and went to her grandmother’s place in Salem, refusing to return until Selladurai built an indoor toilet.
A heart-broken Selladurai left for work the next morning and did not return home.
He was eventually found drowned in a well in a nearby town.
The family discovered a note in his house seeking their forgiveness for deciding to end his life in such a way.
Selladurai also asked them to not blame his wife.
