Driver of rampaging RapidKL bus remanded


KUALA LUMPUR: The RapidKL driver who crashed the bus he was driving into seven vehicles in the Ampang area has been remanded for four days.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Shaharuddin Abdullah confirmed that the driver has been remanded until Aug 21.

In the incident at about 8pm Thursday (Aug 16), seven vehicles were severely damaged after the bus rammed into them.

It is believed that the suspect was trying to escape pursuers after getting into an accident in front of the Risda building in Jalan Ampang here.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim previously said the driver tested positive for methamphetamine use.
