Amid the luxurious beachfront accommodation, guests can look forward to an ocean view dining experience at Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas.

Desaru Coast, Malaysia’s latest integrated destination resort, is poised to be an international tourist attraction, offering curated itineraries and pristine beach getaways.

It is planned with world-class hotels, ultra-luxury suites and villas, a full facility conference centre, a lifestyle retail and dining centre, as well as one of the world’s largest water parks – all overlooking a pristine South China Sea beachfront.

Aspiring to raise the bar of hospitality standards in Malaysia, Desaru Coast is built and infused with world-class hospitality experiences through renowned international brands, such as The Westin Desaru Coast Resort, Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast.

Also opening at the end of this year’s third quarter is One & Only Desaru Coast while the Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas will make its debut in Malaysia next year.

Adding to the myriad of offers are Desaru Coast Riverside, a 23 acre (9.3ha) retail village, and the Desaru Coast Adventure Waterpark, one of the world’s largest water parks with one of the biggest wave pools in the world. Both are now open to guests, having had soft openings in June and July, respectively.

Those looking to be pampered on their holiday can visit the Heavenly Spa by The Westin, while the Rock Spa at Hard Rock Hotel will be a real treat.

For holidaymakers with young children in tow, the Hard Rock Roxity Kids Club in Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast, the largest of its kind in the region, comes with a water pool area for little ones.

Those looking for fun activities they can do as a family should not miss out on the Desaru Coast Adventure Waterpark, which boasts 20 different wet and dry rides and slides including South-East Asia’s first water coaster and an awesome wave pool that is able to generate waves as high as four metres.

For keen golfers, The Els Club Desaru Coast awaits with a stunning 45-hole golf course manicured by renowned golfers Ernie Els and Vijay Singh.

The Els Club Desaru Coast is also home to the Els Performance Golf Academy, which offers state-of-the-art golf training facilities and the EPGA Par 3 Academy course, offering fun for everyone, even the first-timer.

Desaru Coast’s integrated facilities and strategic location also make it a competitive location for the meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions segment.

A fully equipped conference centre offers a versatile venue with a banquet area and exhibition space that can host up to 1,000 participants. In addition, the centre is complemented with meeting and breakout rooms, VIP lounges, a pre-function area and a courtyard to cater to corporate functions, meetings, exhibitions and entertainment events.

Event planners seeking to combine team-building activities can also benefit from the centre’s close proximity to the Desaru Coast Adventure Waterpark, as well as the Desaru beach. The conference centre is targeted to open at the end of the third quarter.

Beyond the borders of the integrated resort, those seeking to explore the area can visit the nearby fruit farm and crocodile farm.

For those who seek to connect with nature, there is the scenic cycling path, mangrove forest and the pristine Desaru beach to explore.

With its extensive range of activities and facilities located in close proximity, Desaru Coast will certainly be a haven of fun for everyone.
