It’s beautiful and classy, says lawyer

PETALING JAYA: The interior of the billion-ringgit superyacht Equanimity is “beautiful” and decorated with a combination of timber and marble finishing, said lawyer Jeremy Joseph.

He told reporters how “classy” the yacht was after he inspected it with a special taskforce from the Attorney General’s Chambers.

According to Joseph, members of taskforce were required to wear shoe covers.

He said the shoe covers were to protect the vessel’s flooring.

“The interior looks luxurious. There is a combination of timber and marble finishing, including the kitchen,” he said, adding there was also leather finishing.

“The yacht looks beautiful and classy.”

Asked if the fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho or Jho Low has used the vessel, Jeremy said the team did not have such information.

“The captain and the crew are new. They signed their contracts three weeks ago.

“We have issued a warrant and spoke to the captain to learn more about what happened to the yacht,” he added.
