Dr Mahathir chairs first National Finance Council meeting

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is at the Finance Ministry here to chair the National Finance Council meeting.  

He arrived at 9.40am on Thursday (June 7) and was greeted by Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng.  

This is the first National Finance Council meeting chaired by Dr Mahathir since Pakatan Harapan took over the government after the May 9 polls.  

Also present were Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and Mentris Besar of Kelantan, Perak, Terengganu and Johor as well as the secretaries-general of ministries.
