Gerakan condemns NGO over forcible removal of alcohol from supermarket

PETALING JAYA; Gerakan has condemned the action of a non-governmental organisation (NGO) for forcing a local supermarket in Kampung Manjoi, Perak, to remove its alcohol stock.

Party vice-president Datuk A. Kohilan Pillay said Gerakan believes that the rights and freedom of non-Muslims must be respected as it is enshrined in the Federal Constitution despite Malaysia being a Muslim-majority nation.
