KOTA BARU: The PAS-led Kelantan government has added four new faces to its state exco line-up.
They are Kijang assemblyman Dr Izani Hussin, Wan Roslan Wan Hamat (Pengkalan Kubor), Syarifuddin Ismail (Selising) and Azami Mohd Noor (Kadok).
Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob expressed confidence that the new line-up, comprising a mix of fresh and old faces, could bolster the state’s administration.
Ahmad also reappointed his deputy Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah for a second term, with the consent of acting Sultan Tengku Dr Muhammad Faiz Petra.
“The Palace has consented,” said Ahmad.
The exco members and the Deputy Mentri Besar were sworn in yesterday, six days after Ahmad returned to the Mentri Besar post.
Exco members retained in the line-up are Datuk Dr Fadzli Hassan (Temangan), Datuk Nasuruddin Daud (Meranti), Datuk Hanifa Ahmad (Pengkalan Pasir), Datuk Major (Rtd) Mohd Anizam Ab Rahman (Kemahang) and Mumtaz Md Nawi (Demit).
Those dropped are Datuk Anuar Tan, Datuk Ab Fattah Mahmood and Datuk Dr Ramli Mamat while Datuk Che Abdullah Mat Nawi was moved to Parliament after winning the Tumpat seat.
