Kelantan BN releases candidates list, Mustapa to contest two seats

KOTA BARU: Kelantan Barisan Nasional chief Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed (pic) will be contesting two seats in GE14.

Mustapa, who has been touted as the state mentri besar if Barisan wins, will be defending the Air Lanas state and Jeli parliamentary seats.

There are 14 parliamentary and 45 state seats in Kelantan.

Mustapa said all incumbents for parliamentary seats have been retained.

For the state seats, candidates have been retained or moved to a parliamentary seat, save for former Paloh assemblyman Datuk Nozulah Md Diah.

Others include Datuk Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, who will be fielded in the Pasir Puteh parliamentary seat while Tan Sri Annuar Musa will defend the Ketereh parliamentary seat.

Kelantan Barisan will have a total of 28 new faces for state seats and two new faces at parliamentary level.

MCA's Chua Hock Kuan has been confirmed as the candidate for the “hot” Kota Lama state seat, which will likely see a multi-cornered fight.
