Petrol prices up for week beginning Feb 8


PETALING JAYA: Petrol prices are up for the week beginning on Feb 8 while diesel prices are down.

RON95 petrol will be priced at RM2.33 per litre (up two sen from RM2.31) while RON97 will retail at RM2.61 per litre (up three sen from RM2.58).

Diesel will retail at RM2.31 per litre, down three sen from RM2.34 per litre.

The new prices were announced on RTM1 on Wednesday evening and will take effect from 12.01am on Thursday (Feb 8) until Feb 14.

The weekly fuel pricing mechanism came into effect in April last year and the prices of petrol and diesel has been placed on a managed monthly float system since Dec 1, 2014 following the removal of fuel subsidies.
