Thunderstorm, heavy rain warning for seven states, KL until 9pm


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in seven states and Kuala Lumpur until 9pm on Sunday (Sept 13).

In a statement, MetMalaysia said the areas affected are in Kedah (Kulim, Bandar Baharu, Baling and Sik) and Perak (Hulu Perak, Selama and Muallim).

The same warning has been issued for Tumpat, Kota Baru, Bachok and Pasir Puteh in Kelantan, while in Terengganu, the areas involved are Hulu Terengganu, Marang, Kuala Terengganu, Kuala Nerus, Setiu and Besut.

In Pahang, the affected areas are Cameron Highlands, Lipis and Jerantut, while in Selangor, they are Hulu Selangor and Gombak.

Meanwhile, in Sarawak, the areas involved are Sibu, Sarikei, Betong, Mukah and Kapit (Song). - Bernama
