KOTA BARU: The light of Deepavali shines bright in Hindu households in Kelantan, although they have had to travel far and wide to buy essentials for the festival.

Indian community representative R. Hareetaram said people were willing to travel the hundreds of kilometres to Penang, Kuala Lumpur or Kuantan for prayer and decorative items.
