Bangladeshi killed in 'kongsi' house fire


A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the burnt body was found during the firefighting operation, which began at about 2.30am Thursday.

TAPAH: A Bangladesh national was killed during a fire at a "kongsi" house at Batu 2, on the old Tapah-Bidor road, near here.

A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the burnt body was found during the firefighting operation, which began at about 2.30am Thursday.

"The body was found among the burnt debris by operation chief Riduan Bahida Baharuddin.

"The fire has destroyed about 75% of the kongsi house," he said.

The blaze was brought under control at 3.45am.
