Pregnant wife challenges husband's detention under Poca


KUALA LUMPUR: The wife of a salesman is challenging the 21-day remand order against him under the Prevention of Crime Act 1959 (Poca).

A. Magaswarie, who is six months' pregnant, filed the notice of appeal on behalf of R. Vishnu Moorthy, 38, who was detained on March 29 over a foreign exchange investment scheme, in which some 20,000 investors were said to have been cheated.
