A-G studying police findings submitted on three Tan Sris

POLICE findings on the case of three former senior government officers with the title “Tan Sri” in an alleged conspiracy to topple the Prime Minister have been submitted to the Attorney-General’s Chambers.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the police had completed their investigations.

“The findings were submitted to the Attorney-General’s Chambers on Nov 29 last year for further directive and study by the deputy public prosecutor,” he said in a written reply.

Dr Ahmad Zahid, who is also the Home Minister, was responding to a question from Datuk Mahfuz Omar (PAS-Pokok Sena) who had asked about the status of the report lodged by Umno Youth vice-chief Khairul Azwan Harun on the alleged cons­piracy.

Khairul had lodged the report at the Dang Wangi police station in July last year, claiming that the trio had provided confidential information to foreign agencies, including the US Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The report was lodged against former Bank Negara governor Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz, former Malaysian Anti-Corruption Com­mission chief Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed and former Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail.
