KUALA LUMPUR: Dashing actor-producer Datuk Hans Isaac will be breaking countless hearts soon.
One of the country’s most eligible bachelors is set to tie the knot with ex-beauty queen Aileen Gabriella Robinson on July 29.
He “unveiled” his bride-to-be, the first Malaysian to win the Miss Tourism International 2011/12 pageant, to the media yesterday.
“The first time I met her, I made her cry,” the 45-year-old said of the instance when he criticised one of Robinson’s performances at a beauty pageant. They became friends soon after and last year, that turned into romance.
“You just know it,” the actor, who has been romantically linked to Elaine Daly, Erra Fazira and Neelofa, said of his “finding the right one.”
“We were friends before anything else and have known each other for years. I know that whatever happens, whether I’m successful or not, she’ll always stand beside me.”
Isaac first set eyes on Robinson, 27, as one of the judges at the Miss Universe Malaysia 2012 pageant in which she was the runner-up.
He proposed to her on Jan 29, in Singapore, after taking her there for the Chinese New Year holidays.
“I proposed to her in front of the Cathedral of The Good Shepherd Church where my parents got married,” he said.
Robinson, a film and drama graduate who works as an emcee, spoke of what attracted her most to Isaac.
“It’s always family first with him and I saw that. How he cares for his family shows me what it would be like if I were to be in his life.”
Asked about their 18-year age gap, Robinson said it was a “non issue”.
“He respects me, and I respect him. And I get to learn a lot from him in terms of being more responsible, organised and positive.”
Isaac and Robinson’s nuptials will take place at St John’s Cathedral here with the reception scheduled at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
