Radical Turkish ulama’s teachings being misused by IS, say police

KUALA LUMPUR: The Islamic State (IS) follows and misuses the teachings of controversial Turkish ulama Ibnu Taimiyyah, said Senior Asst Comm Datuk Ayob Khan (pic).

“They pick and choose certain aspects of the teachings to fit their misguided struggle,” said Bukit Aman’s Special Branch Counter Terrorism Division head.
