MTUC wants RCI on foreign worker issue


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Trades Union Congress has hailed the Government’s decision to freeze the intake of foreign workers, but it still wants investigations into the widespread problem of illegal foreign workers.

Its secretary-general N. Gopal Kishnam said it is the right decision to suspend the intake but the Government should set up a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) to look at the problem.
