Deciding child’s best interest a holistic process, says Unicef

PETALING JAYA: A child’s best interest is flexible and should be adjusted on a case by case basis in accordance with the specific situation of the individual child, says Unicef Malaysia.

The organisation said deciding on the child’s best interest was a holistic process that involved multiple considerations and requiring child-friendly formal processes with strict procedural safeguards.
