'Girlfriend who plunged to death was my future wife'


AMPANG: A car sales adviser pleaded not guilty over the death of his girlfriend after she fell off a cliff at Bukit Permai here last month.

Looking flustered, Sharminder Singh Christi Anthony, 35, blurted out that he did not kill Jaspal Kaur (pix), 28.

Sharminder said it was an accident when asked by Judge Unaizah Mohd on his bail mitigation at the Sessions Court here Friday.

“I did not do anything. It was an accident,” Sharminder said repeatedly, until he had to be reminded by the judge that he was supposed to respond to his bail mitigation.

The father of two was believed to have caused the death of Jaspal at Taman Bukit Permai, Bukit Permai at around 12.15pm on Oct 30.

Jaspal was believed to have died on the spot after falling from the 26m cliff during an argument with her boyfriend.
