Mat Sabu freed of charges


BUTTERWORTH: Former PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu was acquitted by the Sessions Court here of two defamation charges over remarks he allegedly made regarding the communist attack on the Bukit Kepong police station in 1950.

Sessions Judge Meor Sulaiman Ahmad Tarmizi freed Mohamad, 59, without calling for his defence.
