PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has clarified that mobile phone users must pay the 6% Goods and Services Tax (GST) for their prepaid reloads.
To ease the burden of consumers, the MCMC said customers who reload RM5 and above would be given an additional value which is higher than the 6% GST in the form of free minutes and text messages.
