KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has expressed his condolences on the passing of Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali.
"May I share sad news this morning," Anwar said before delivering his keynote remarks at the International Future Conference on Monday (Sept 28).
"We have learnt of the passing of Tun Dr Siti Hasmah."
"May Allah bless her soul," he added, before asking the audience to recite a prayer for the departed.
The wife of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad passed away at the age of 100 at the National Heart Institute on Monday morning.
Her death was confirmed by her son, Tan Sri Mokhzani Mahathir.
