A TINY island off Malacca has become a popular spot for youngsters eager for some hanky-panky, Metro Ahad reported.
Known as Pulau Konet, it is about 100m from the shores of Jalan Telok Gong.
A resident, who wanted to be known only as Faiz, 25, said he had come across couples “getting naughty” amidst the rocks and bushes there.
“When confronted, some of them would leave but some were adamant on being left alone on the island,” said Faiz, who often goes to the island for fishing activities.
He believed that the hanky-panky had been going on for about three years.
Apparently, students as young as 15 would frequent the island, which is accessible by a sandy path during low tide.
Most visitors would generally arrive at about 9am and leave before noon, as sea water would rise up to waist level when the tide returns.
Apart from food scraps, checks on the island found underwear and empty liquor bottles strewn around.
