Darker side makes Amanda kinder

New territory: ‘Blackheart’ is Amanda’s first all-English album.

KUALA LUMPUR: Despite singing about the dark side of being “pushed, beaten and bruised” in Blackheart, Amanda Imani has the milk of human kindness in her. She’s channelling a portion of her album sales to charity.

The singer-songwriter, whose lyrics in the song states that her “heart has turned to grey from all the fighting”, said her latest album was inspired by bitter-sweet personal experiences and those of her friends.
