Four workers hurt in crash


Firemen were seen busy carried out rescue tasks at the accident scene involved a factory bus and a lorry at the intersection of Sungai Petani South heading to the North South Expressway (North bound) after the accident in Sungai Petani, Kedah yesterday. 4 female passengers of the 17 passengers (2 male and 15 female) of the factory bus were seriously injured in the accident. The accident occurred believed to be caused by the factory bus rammed into the rear section of the lorry. Sungaiu petani Fire & Rescue Department received information of the accident at about 15.40pm and two engines arrived at the scene at about 15.59pm. SUNGAI PETANI: Four female factory workers were seriously injured after their bus collided with a trailer at the Sungai Petani South exit near the Taman Sejati Toll Plaza.

Sungai Petani Fire Department Zone Chief II Nor Ariffin Kamari said the bus, with 16 passengers, rammed into the back of the trailer which was parked by the side of the road after it broke down at 3.40pm yesterday.
