Aceh, on Indonesia's north eastern-most tip, is proud of its illustrious history and deep Islamic roots. Nevertheless, an unthinkable tragedy occurred when it was struck by the 2004 Boxing Day Indian Ocean tsunami, which led to thousands of deaths.
The tragedy showed the power of nature, or "Alam" to wreck both good and ill in the land. Karim explores Aceh and meets with Pak David, a becak (rickshaw) driver who lost many members of his family to the tsunami.
