Selangor Sultan's uncle Tengku Azman Shah dies


SHAH ALAM: The uncle of the Sultan of Selangor, Tengku Azman Shah, 84, died at 2.31pm Sunday at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang.

The Selangor Royal Council secretary, Hanafisah Jais, said in a statement here that the remains of Tengku Azman were brought to Istana Alam Shah, Klang, at about 5pm.

The statement said the body would be taken to Masjid Istana Diraja, Istana Alam Shah at 10.30am tomorrow for final prayers before the burial at Makam Diraja, Klang.

"The burial will be performed in accordance with the full royal tradition of the Selangor royalty," the statement said. - Bernama
