KUALA LUMPUR: Former Election Commission (EC) deputy chairman Datuk Wan Ahmad Omar won RM200,000 in damages on Thursday, in his libel suit against PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu and PAS secretary general Datuk Mustafa Ali over issuance of identity cards in Sabah.
In his civil suit, Wan Ahmad had contended that Mohamad Sabu or better known as Mat Sabu had on Jan 29 accused him of being involved in Projek IC,the issuance of identity cards in Sabah, which was published in Harakah's Feb 1-3 edition.
